Al Jisr Foundation hosted an Iftar event last night for children and their families from the associations of Oman Down Syndrome and Early Intervention for Children with Disability.
The event included numerous activities and interactive games that engaged the children, drawing smiles on their faces as a means to end the Holy Month of Ramadhan and to welcome Eid Al Fitr in good spirits.
”We value collaborations with NGOs and businesses that share the same values with Al Jisr” comments a representative from the Foundation. “These two associations are among a few that work tirelessly to develop the status and wellbeing of children with disabilities in the Sultanate.” they added.
As part of its ongoing activities, the Foundation hosted community Iftars every day this Ramadhan in 3 locations, Al Amerat, Al Ansab and Maabaleh. These iftars have served many in the community they’re in, but mainly the blue collar workers who cherished a good meal at the end of their working day. It is estimated that this initiative has delivered over 50,200 Iftar packs to date.
Al Jisr Foundation has relied on their own staff as well as volunteers to manage the community iftars this year. Al Jisr continues to seek highly motivated and talented individuals to graciously volunteer with the Foundation’s initiatives as they welcome applications for the year 2020. http://www.aljisrfoundation.org/en/volunteer-application-page/
