Al Jisr Foundation is a private non-profit organization based in Muscat, Oman and established on November 14, 2010 under the Ministry of Social Development rule number 127/2010 and in accordance with the provisions of the NGO Law No. 14/2000.

The Arabic word “Al Jisr” literally means “The Bridge” – a universal symbol of progress, overcoming challenges and facilitating new possibilities. Moreover, the bridge represents networking and cooperation. Its significance to our organisation speaks for itself.

In close collaboration with our expanding network of partners, Al Jisr Foundation operates with the purpose of empowering communities
and ensuring equal access to opportunities by implementing sustainable programmes and initiatives in health, education and social welfare.

Al Jisr Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of :

  1. Ms. Fawziya Saud Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini , Chairperson of  the Board of Directors.
  2. Ms. Anisa Saud Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini, Deputy Chairperson of the Board.

building on the legacy of their late father, Sheikh Saud bin Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini and adopting his approach towards charity and giving.
