Al Jisr Foundation is a Zakat fund, non-profit organization that focuses on sustainable projects in health, education, and social welfare sectors. Established on the14th Dhu al-Hijjah 1431H/November 14th, 2010, Muscat-Sultanate of Oman, under the Ministry of Social Development rule number 127/2010, in accordance with the provisions of the NGO Law No. 14/2000.

The Board of Directors that run the foundation is comprised of:

  1. Ms. Fawziya Saud Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini – Chairman of Board of Directors.
  2. Ms. Amina Saud Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini – Member of Board of Directors.
  3. Ms. Anisa Saud Salim Bahwan Al Mukhaini – Member of Board of Directors.

Al Jisr Foundation is the first Omani NGO to sign the UN Global Compact.

Al Jisr management confirmed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) by signing its letter to the UN Secretary General on April 2018. Since then, the foundation has joined more than 12,000 organizations worldwide that have agreed to work towards meeting the highest standards of ethical business conduct and governance.

The UNGC is a United Nations initiative aimed to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies. The UNGC is a principle based framework for businesses and organizations, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
